1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX Mod History

Learn from my path and my mistakes!  Compare mod list with the times below to see what it takes to get a certain ET in Colorado.  All times are at ~5800 ft. elevation.  (FYI:  Typical estimation is about %20 power loss at this elevation)

Sept. 16th, 1998: 16.05

You have to start somewhere!   91 octane.

Began Moding: Summer 1998:

April 25th, 1999:  14.548

  • It's the end of an era for me.  It may sound melodramatic, but that's the way it feels.  As much as I love the car and have enjoyed making it faster, it's time to move on.  Why?  Because I want to spend less time on cars, I don't enjoy working on them as much as I used to, and because there are other priorities (God and family).  Still, I'll always remember the challenges and rewards of doubling the horsepower of my Eclipse.  Who knows, maybe I'll have another fast car someday.  Still, I'd be surprised if it were as fast as this one.

Plot of a lot of old 1/4 Times
